Pezeshkian: Sanctions Worsen Iran's Economic Woes

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian acknowledged that his citizens face "numerous problems, including inflation, cost-of-living difficulties, and unemployment, amid a new campaign of U.S. sanctions, while defending a recent memorandum of understanding as a way to overcome the "neither war nor peace situation. Speaking in Tehran, Pezeshkian said the challenges are compounded by the latest U.S. sanctions, which he argued are aimed at pressuring the Iranian people.
