Wanne-eickel Searched a Man Who Was Posing As a Soldier, Discovering Several Weapons and a Knife

The 18-year-old caught the officers' attention because he immediately left the platform upon seeing them. He was wearing a Bundeswehr uniform complete with official insignia. The officers pursued him, and after repeated questioning, the young man admitted he was not actually in the Bundeswehr.

During the search, police found a gas weapon with ammunition, a blank-firing gun, and a knife. The officers confiscated the weapons and the insignia. The 18-year-old now faces an investigation for violations of the Weapons Act and for misuse of badges and uniforms, according to the Federal Police.
