Turkey, Who Was Preparing for Her Wedding, Died in a Hospital Four Days After Being Struck by an SUV, and Was Buried on the Day Her Wedding

Birsen Filiz was hit by an SUV driven by İ.G. as it was maneuvering on a ramp while exiting a parking lot in the Kırsal Hisariçi neighborhood of the Karesi district in Balıkesir. She was seriously injured and taken to a hospital, where she lost her life after a four-day struggle. A funeral ceremony for Filiz was held in front of her family home in the rural Çamcı neighborhood of the Edremit district, her hometown.

Her mother Özlem Filiz, father İbrahim Filiz, brother Orhan Filiz, and relatives attended the ceremony. Her body was then laid to rest in the cemetery in Çamcı. It was learned that Filiz, who was preparing for marriage, had come to the parking lot after a wedding dress fitting on the day of the accident, intending to go home. Her wedding had been planned for today, the day she was buried.
