Eight people, including managers, have been detained in connection with a mine collapse in Ankara, Turkey, that killed one worker and injured 11 others, four of them seriously. The collapse occurred at a mine owned by Çayırhan Enerji in the Beypazarı district of Ankara. The Beypazarı chief public prosecutor's office has launched an investigation into the incident.
According to the Anka news agency, the following individuals were taken into custody as part of the investigation. The Ankara Governor's Office had previously reported that the collapse was caused by a ceiling collapse. The detentions come as authorities continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the deadly incident at the mine.
