🇵🇸 Palestinian TerritoriesPoland Summons Israeli Ambassador Over IDF Decision to End Probe Into Gaza Aid Convoy Strikes in Palestinian Territories

Poland has summoned Israel's ambassador to express its "great disappointment" that the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) have discontinued an investigation into the strikes on an aid convoy in Gaza in 2024 that killed seven humanitarian workers, including a Pole, Damian Soból. Declared foreign minister Radosław Sikorski: Partnership requires mutual respect. The humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, as well as the failure of accountability for [the] IDF’s excessive use of force[,] are undermining public support in even pro-Israel nations.
The remarks were made as Poland's government conveyed its position to the Israeli envoy. The decision to end the probe has drawn criticism from Polish officials, who have called for a thorough and transparent investigation into the deaths of the aid workers.
