Ex-italian Minister Urges EU to Shift Migration Focus From Security to Integration in Ireland

Andrea Riccardi, founder of the Sant'Egidio community and former Italian minister, has called for a European approach to migration, urging the EU to move beyond the Dublin regulation and focus on integration rather than security. The pre-election climate, in Italy and other European countries, is causing these national games to multiply and the migration issue is not being seen within the framework of European solidarity, Riccardi said.
