League Title With a Comfortable 3-0 Victory Over Newly Promoted Coventry City in the Opening Game of the Campaign at the Emirates Stadium

Kai Havertz, Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard were all on the scoresheet as the champions made a strong start to the new season.
Arsenal began their Premier League title defence with a confident 3-0 victory over Coventry on the opening night of the season. The win showcased the swagger that comes with being champions, a status they earned for the first time in 22 years last season. The atmosphere at Emirates Stadium reflected the new-found belief, with new signage above the entrance reading 'Champions' in gold.
Players were introduced individually during the warm-up, and the crowd repeatedly sang 'champions of England' throughout the match. Captain Martin Odegaard, writing in the programme notes, said the silverware had given the team more confidence and stressed the mentality is not to defend the title but to attack it. Speaking to Match of the Day, he added: We don't feel we have to defend anything.
We want to do it again and that's the mindset. Last year is finished now.
