The stock market finished the day with an increase

BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul closed the day at 14,138.85 points, gaining 1.18 percent in value. [ BIST 100 index increased by 164.72 points compared to the previous closing, while the total transaction volume reached 193 billion lira. The banking index gained 0.08 percent and the holding index gained 1.45 percent.

Among the sector indices, the biggest gainer was financial leasing factoring with 2.46 percent, and the biggest loser was textile leather with 2.62 percent. While global markets followed a mixed course due to increasing geopolitical risks and rising oil prices before the balance sheets of major technology companies, investors' focus turned to the interest rate decision of the European Central Bank (ECB) and the statements of ECB President Christine Lagarde, as well as company balance sheets. While the domestic BIST 100 index followed a positive trend in the European stock markets, all eyes turned to the Monetary Policy Committee (PPC) decision of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT). Analysts stated that the consumer confidence index, CBRT's interest rate decision and weekly money and bank statistics will be followed in the country tomorrow, and the ECB's interest rate decision and consumer confidence index in the Eurozone will be followed abroad, and noted that technically, 14,300 and 14,400 points in the BIST 100 index are resistance, while 14,000 and 13,900 points are support levels.
