Travel advice in the Middle East has been tightened due to renewed violence in Iran and the US

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has tightened travel advice for a number of countries in the Middle East. According to the ministry, the situation has deteriorated. An orange travel advice now applies to Qatar, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.
This means that holidays to those countries are not recommended and that it is advised to only travel to those countries if necessary. The orange code also means that Dutch embassies are less able to help in the event of problems. The travel advice for Bahrain is even red.
