Chamber tells the STF that there are no irregularities in amendment indications

The Chamber of Deputies informed the Federal Supreme Court (STF) this Monday (20) that there are no irregularities in the indications of parliamentary amendments. The statement was sent to Minister Flávio Dino, rapporteur of the process that deals with transparency in the distribution of amendments in Congress. Dino blocks R$119 million from Valdemar due to suspicions in amendments. Dino cites the existence of “amendment wholesalers” when condemning deputies. The Chamber's Counsel maintained that the internal processing of amendments follows the regulatory procedure.

The House attached bench and committee minutes to prove that the indications made by the deputies were "regularly deliberated and approved". Federal Police Yesterday, Flávio Dino sent to the Federal Police (PF) the explanations received from party presidents about the influence of politicians in indicating parliamentary amendments. Last week, Dino determined that 21 acronyms send explanations to the Supreme Court about the management of the amendments.

The measure was determined after the minister blocked R$119 million in assets that are in the name of the PL president, Valdemar Costa Neto. The decision was an outcome of Operation Transparency, in which the PF investigates deviations from amendments. In the decision, Dino pointed out the suspicion that Valdemar may have made irregular indications of amendments even without a mandate.

Valdemar is a former federal deputy for the state of São Paulo. In response to the minister, Valdemar said that he does not have quotas on amendments and does not make formal indications of amendments.
