Politico Shows That Older and Financially Secure People Are More Positive About AI, While Younger Adults Are the Most Pessimistic

The least positive age group is 18 to 24-year-olds, who worry about the technology's effect on their own cognitive abilities and career progression. Although they are the heaviest users of the tech, more than a third of 18-24s fear AI will make critical thinking harder, and exactly a third think developing career-relevant expertise will become more difficult, the polling finds. The age group was the most pessimistic across all career-related issues, including independent problem solving and learning from mentors.
