🇺🇸 United StatesDutch Filmmaker Confined by Illness for Six Years Completes Documentary

A 52-year-old filmmaker from Alkmaar, confined to his home for the past six years by disease, has completed a 98-minute documentary.
The director spent 12 months working on the film, which he describes as a chance to settle scores with the world, starting with himself. What a great opportunity to make a total fool of myself. Well, I'm a black belt in ego demolition, he says early in the film. The director, who hoped to be remembered as one of cinema's most free and radical figures as well as a shrewd analyst of pop culture, said the massive media echo from his 'Human Centipede' trilogy did not open Hollywood's doors for him, citing the industry's narrow-mindedness.
