🇹🇷 TürkiyeResidents Who Spotted the Flames Alerted the Fire Department in Türkiye

A fire in a garden in Adana's Kozan district destroyed around 600 hay bales and a trailer, authorities said. The blaze broke out for an undetermined reason in an area where hay bales prepared for winter livestock feed were stored in a garden owned by Akif Erdinç on Gazi Ramazan Street in the Çanaklı neighborhood. Residents who spotted the flames alerted the fire department.
Adana Metropolitan Municipality fire crews were dispatched to the scene, with three fire trucks and multiple teams responding. Residents also helped with the extinguishing efforts. Thanks to the quick response, some of the hay bales were saved.
Efforts were made to prevent the flames from spreading to nearby homes, and construction machines belonging to Kozan Municipality were also sent to the area. The machines were used to spread out the hay bales so fire crews could douse them with pressurized water. While most of the hay bales burned, approximately 600 bales and a trailer in the garden were rendered unusable. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire, and cooling operations are ongoing in the area.
