PF summons Jaques Wagner to testify about investigations by Banco Master

The Federal Police (PF) summoned Senator Jaques Wagner (PT-BA) to give a statement on August 7th in Brasília. The testimony will take place as part of the fraud investigations involving Banco Master. The PF is investigating whether Wagner received any type of benefit in exchange for support in Congress for projects of interest to the bank.
The senator spoke to journalists in Salvador this Tuesday (21) and denied having committed any irregularity. He stated that he is calm and will prove his innocence. In June, he was the target of the 9th phase of Operation Compliance Zero, for alleged relationships with banker Augusto Ferreira Lima, former partner at Banco Master. At the time, the senator had already denied any link with the Master bank and its owner, Daniel Vorcaro, even though he admitted knowing Augusto Lima.
