WhatsApp Mac Interface is Renewed

The latest update, distributed through the Mac App Store, includes significant changes in the general appearance of the application. In particular, the redesigned sidebar aims to provide users with a more fluid experience during chat management. Within the scope of the update, basic interface elements such as the chat bar and additional menu have also been overhauled.

These changes offer a holistic design approach by minimizing the visual difference with the mobile versions of the application. With the new version, special sidebar sections for locked chats and communities have been added. Locked chats, which were previously in the main chat list, have now been moved to a special area that requires authentication, just like in the iPhone app.

The Communities feature is also now accessible directly from the sidebar. This arrangement makes it more convenient for users to switch between groups and communities. WhatsApp offers this new interface to a limited number of users for now.

In line with the company's customary distribution strategy, the new design is expected to roll out to more accounts in the coming weeks. This interface, which is compatible with the design line of Apple's current operating systems, was completed after approximately a year of work. With this update, Mac users now have the visual standards they are used to on their mobile devices on their desktop.
