Paramount and Warner Bros. 110 Billion Dollar Agreement between Turkey and Turkey Has Been Stopped!

Warner Bros., one of the world's most prominent entertainment companies, was originally going to be acquired by Netflix. However, as a result of the disagreements, this decision was changed and in the past months, it was decided that the company would be acquired by Paramount for an astonishing amount of 110 billion dollars. However, today's news showed that this agreement may be extended.

A court in the USA ruled that Paramount Skydance's Warner Bros. He temporarily suspended the acquisition of Discovery for 14 days. It came after the competition case.

The decision came after the competition case filed by 12 state attorneys general, led by California Attorney General Rob Bonta. The state coalition is preparing to request new injunctions to further delay the merger after the 14-day temporary blockage period. In the lawsuit, the states argue that this merger will have serious negative effects on movie studios, traditional cable distributors and viewers.

According to state representatives, the giant merger would greatly weaken competition in three main areas: mass motion picture distribution, high-grossing motion picture productions and basic cable TV licensing. "We have achieved a critical first victory in our lawsuit to ensure that this giant merger never happens," California State Attorney Rob Bonta said in a statement after the decision. If the planned acquisition goes through, two of Hollywood's most established studios will unite under one roof. In addition, it is aimed to merge Paramount+ and HBO Max platforms into a giant digital broadcasting service and to gather Paramount's CBS/MTV channels and WBD's CNN/HBO channels in a single portfolio.
