Kim Yo Jong Denies North Korea Sent More Troops to Russia, Calls Reports 'Groundless Farce' in South Korea

Kim Yo Jong, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, on Tuesday denied reports that North Korea has sent additional troops to support Russia in its war against Ukraine, calling the claims a "groundless farce" fabricated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's camp. Kim, who serves as a senior official in the ruling Workers' Party, issued a statement through the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) titled Position on Major International Issues, in which she dismissed speculation that Pyongyang has deployed more soldiers to Russia.
