🇨🇳 ChinaXiaomi Has Officially Announced Which Devices Will Receive the New "Soft Light Glass" Interface Effect Coming With Its Hyperos 4 Update

The list, initially revealed for the Chinese market, is based on hardware requirements and will also cover similar models in the global market. The visual effect, inspired by Apple's Liquid Glass design language, requires high processor power and will only be activated on specific devices thanks to its interactive lighting and complex graphics processing capabilities. The company stated that optimization processes are ongoing and that models with high-performance processors will receive the update first.
Xiaomi noted that the Soft Light Glass effect will not be immediately available for all devices, instead following a phased beta distribution plan. The first phase will be based on Snapdragon 8 Elite, Dimensity 9500, and Xring O1 processors to ensure stable software operation. However, the company also announced that some older models not on the initial list will receive the update.
Devices such as the Xiaomi 13, Redmi K70, and Xiaomi MIX Flip are included in the planned roadmap. From the MIX series, the Fold 4, Fold 3, Fold 2, and MIX Flip models are among the first to get the update. On the flagship side, the Xiaomi 17 series, along with the 17T, 15, 14, and 13 series, were added to the list.
The Civi 5 Pro model will also benefit from this visual innovation. On the Redmi side, the K100 Pro, K90, K80, and K70 series (excluding K70E) will experience this aesthetic innovation brought by HyperOS 4. In the Turbo series, the Turbo 5 Max, 5, and 4 Pro models stand out. For tablet users, the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro, 8, 7 Ultra, and 7S Pro models, along with the Redmi K Pad series, are among the devices receiving the update.
Currently, this feature is only available to beta users in the Chinese market and will expand globally in the coming weeks. Xiaomi aims to make its interface smoother and more aesthetic with HyperOS 4 while maintaining its commitment to efficient use of hardware resources. Users are advised to keep their system software updated to use these new visual effects without performance loss.
