Iran's Top General Warns Gulf States Against Backing US Strikes

Iran's Chief of Staff, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, warned Gulf countries against supporting potential U.S. military actions against Iran.
Iran's military chief of staff warned Gulf countries on Wednesday against providing any support to the U.S. military, state-affiliated Tasnim news agency reported. General Ali Abdollahi, chief of staff of Iran's armed forces, said in a statement: "The countries on the southern shores of the Persian Gulf, which have issued various statements declaring that they will not allow the United States to use their territories against Iran, should know that nothing is hidden from our eyes. Abdollahi added: "It seems unlikely that this amount of military aircraft, especially refueling aircraft, would be stationed at regional bases without the knowledge of the host countries.
He further threatened that any assistance or facilitation to the aggressive U.S. army is tantamount to participation with U.S. military forces. The warning comes as the 60-day ceasefire agreement between Washington and Tehran expires, with no extension or complete end to the war reached. Meanwhile, Iran's parliamentary speaker is visiting Iraq in a step toward strengthening a new regional order without foreign interference.
