A 56-year-old woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after a fire in Berlin-Frohnau, Germany. Firefighters rescued her from a single-family home and resuscitated her, according to the fire department. She was taken to a hospital under emergency medical supervision and admitted for inpatient care.
The fire broke out shortly after midnight in the north of Berlin, near the border with Brandenburg. Two other people managed to escape unharmed: a 62-year-old man and his 15-year-old son, police said. Police cited a technical defect as a possible cause of the blaze.
