The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) announced the dollar's effective rate for the previous day at 47.7958 lira for buying and 47.9873 lira for selling.
The bank had set the previous effective rate at 47.7774 lira for buying and 47.9688 lira for selling. In international markets, as of Tuesday evening, the euro/dollar parity stood at 1.1580, the sterling/dollar parity at 1.3540, and the dollar/yen parity at 159.6. On the new day, the dollar/TL was trading at 47.8293 (buying) and 47.9155 (selling), while the euro was trading at 55.4658 TL at the same time. Changes in gold and exchange rates, which affect domestic and foreign markets, continue to be monitored by citizens.
