Jen Dimascio-Donohue, a runner in Massachusetts, was pushed to act after a heat wave over the Fourth of July weekend. Following an 11-kilometer run with temperatures above 27 degrees Celsius by 10 a.m., she cooled off by jumping into the ocean off Cape Cod.
"I came home and ordered it immediately, she said, referring to a cooling item she had kept in her online cart for months. "I felt, 'I've reached my boiling point.
