A 29-Year-old Man Was Seriously Injured in Nuremberg, Germany, After Falling Several Meters From a Wall While Fleeing a Police Check

The incident occurred in the afternoon when the man climbed over a wall leading to the city moat and lost his grip, according to police. He was taken to a hospital following the fall. Officers had attempted to stop the 29-year-old and another man who were riding together on an e-scooter.

While his companion dismounted, the 29-year-old initially fled on the electric scooter. After a short pursuit, he abandoned the scooter and continued running on foot. Near the Kartäusertor gate, he climbed over the inner wall toward the city moat and fell several meters to the ground.

Police found signs of drug use and a larger quantity of a prescription medication on him. He is now under investigation on suspicion of illegal trafficking in medicinal products.
