Customers Will Be Able to List Items Such As Malm Dressers, Kallax Shelving Units, and Klippan Sofas on the New Platform

IKEA is launching its own online resale platform, Preowned, in the UK, allowing customers to sell their used furniture directly through the retailer rather than on third-party sites like Facebook and Vinted. The service will be available to British members of IKEA's Family loyalty program. The move follows similar pilot programs in Spain and Norway, according to The Guardian.

Customers will be able to list items such as Malm dressers, Kallax shelving units, and Klippan sofas on the new platform. In Denmark, IKEA already operates a buy-back scheme where customers can return used furniture and receive up to 35 percent of the original price as a store credit.
