Physical Issues Limited His Participation, and He Is Not Part of Claudio Giráldez's Plans for the Upcoming Season

Celta Vigo and midfielder Matías Vecino are working to finalize his departure before the transfer window closes, with the club praising the player's exemplary behavior throughout the process. No agreement has been reached yet on a contract termination, but both parties do not rule out reaching one in the coming days. Vecino, who arrived in Vigo during the last winter transfer window, made 12 official appearances for the club, splitting his time evenly between La Liga and the Europa League, totaling 492 minutes.
Physical issues limited his participation, and he is not part of Claudio Giráldez's plans for the upcoming season. The club is helping the midfielder evaluate his options to find the best possible destination. In the midfield, following the departure of Hugo Sotelo and the willingness to listen to offers for Ilaix Moriba, Celta currently counts only Miguel Román and Aleix Febas as fixed options.
Should both departures materialize, the club would bring in a reinforcement for the position, while Hugo Burcio and Antañón would gain more prominence in the first team. The club has highlighted Vecino's always exemplary conduct during his time with the team.
