Turkey Has Been Detained After Allegedly Shooting and Killing His Wife, Mistaking Her for a Wolf That Had Entered Their Livestock Pen

The incident occurred in the village of Meşeli in Elazığ province. According to reports, M.K. saw a wolf enter the pen where his small livestock were kept two days ago and began keeping watch. When he heard a sound from the pen at night, he fired in that direction, striking Hasret K., a mother of three.

Health workers and gendarmerie were dispatched to the scene after the incident was reported. The woman died at the scene. Her body was taken to Fırat University Hospital morgue for an autopsy. M.K. was taken into custody.
