Danielys Hurtado had spent five days looking for her husband in La Guaira, a city she did not know, following leads as her worry grew hour by hour after the double earthquake struck. Hurtado was at the improvised morgue set up in the silos of the Port of La Guaira, where dozens of bodies lay in bags, when another woman told her, Friend, that is my husband. The close call meant she almost took the body of a man who was not her spouse.
