Beşiktaş Have Accelerated Talks With Benfica to Sign Belgian Right Winger Dodi in Türkiye

The Istanbul club are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season. According to A Spor, Beşiktaş have intensified contact with the Portuguese club to bring Lukébakio into their ranks. The black-and-white management reportedly want to complete the transfer of the Belgian winger on a loan deal that includes a buy option.

Beşiktaş head coach Vincenzo Italiano has also expressed his desire to have Lukébakio in his squad and has communicated this request to the club's management, the reports said. Benfica, for their part, would prefer to sell the player outright if they were to part ways with him, rather than agree to a loan arrangement. The reports suggest that the talks are expected to reach a clearer conclusion within this week.

The 28-year-old made 25 appearances across all competitions last season, logging 1,351 minutes on the pitch. The Belgian contributed two goals and five assists during that time.
