Fred has bid an emotional farewell to Fenerbahce following his transfer to Atletico Mineiro, saying he will keep his bond with the Turkish club and attend its championship celebrations. The Brazilian midfielder, who wore the yellow-and-navy jersey for three seasons, visited the Can Bartu Facilities in Istanbul before his departure. He met with head coach Ismail Kartal, players, technical staff and club employees.

Fred then moved to the club building to say goodbye to President Aziz Yildirim and board members Mahmut Uslu, Onder Firat, Tanju Kaya, Yasemin Babayigit, Ahmet Murat Ozturk and Fenerbahce Futbol AS board member Mehmet Ozturk. Club President Aziz Yildirim thanked Fred for his three years of service, saying: "Never break your ties with Fenerbahce. You are now part of this family and will always remain so.

During the farewell, Yildirim presented Fred with a number 7 Fenerbahce jersey and a gift. After the photo session, Fred stepped onto the pitch at Chobani Stadium one last time with his family before heading to Atletico Mineiro.
