The declaration came from a gathering organized under the leadership of the Kadim Aşiretler Federasyonu (Ancient Tribes Federation), which brought together tribal leaders, opinion leaders, and representatives of civil society organizations. The group announced its backing for the law, which was passed by the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM) General Assembly and subsequently entered into force.
