Barrack's Statement Came in Response to the Attack in Erbil, Iraq, Which Targeted the KRG Leadership in Türkiye

The U.S. Ambassador to Ankara and Special Regional Representative Tom Barrack condemned a bomb-laden drone attack on the private office of Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and the residence of the intelligence agency director, saying such actions targeting regional stability are unacceptable. Barrack's statement came in response to the attack in Erbil, Iraq, which targeted the KRG leadership. He emphasized that these acts undermine stability in the region and cannot be tolerated.

The attack on Barzani's office and the intelligence chief's residence was carried out using an explosive-laden unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). No group has yet claimed responsibility for the assault.
