24-Year-old Man Was Shot Dead in the Courtyard of a Public Housing Complex in Rome's Tor Sapienza Neighborhood

The victim, Raymond Asosa Agheyisi, was found lying on the ground with a deep wound to his abdomen and died despite being rushed to the hospital. Agheyisi, who was born in Rome to a family of North African origin and had turned 24 on August 10, was hit by a gunshot — likely fired from a pistol — in the courtyard of the council housing block at Viale Giorgio Morandi 52. A friend of the victim called emergency services.
