🇬🇧 United KingdomADM Is Expanding Its Scottish Operations With New Storage and Berthing Capacity at the Port of Greenock, a Facility Owned by Peel Ports

The expansion builds on ADM's existing operations at the port operator's King George V Dock in Glasgow. The new deal will bolster the firm's import, storage and distribution capabilities while strengthening access to key feed ingredients. Bosses said that together, the two locations would create a "more integrated logistics network" on the Clyde and enhance its service for feed customers throughout the region.
Jonathan Lane, managing director of ADM Agriculture and ADM UK country manager, said: "Expanding our footprint from Glasgow to Greenock is an important step for ADM's operations in the region. The additional capacity and logistics capability will help us operate more efficiently, strengthen supply chain resilience and support our customers' evolving needs across Scotland. Our relationship with Peel Ports Group has been instrumental in supporting ADM Agriculture's growth in Scotland over recent years.
The investment comes as Scotland's feed market continues to evolve, with growing demand for imported feed materials. ADM said its expanded presence at Greenock would help meet these changing market needs while supporting the long-term competitiveness of Scottish agriculture. The Greenock facility will be operational later this year.
David Huck, chief operating officer for ports and marine at Peel Ports Group, said: "ADM is a valued strategic partner, and this investment demonstrates the importance of the Clyde as a gateway for agricultural imports serving Scotland. We look forward to continuing to work together to support growth, efficiency, and resilience across the supply chain.
