Hayden Panettiere, the 36-year-old actress known for her roles in "Heroes" and Nashville, was found dead early Monday morning.
Emergency services from the Greenville Police Department in South Carolina discovered her body after a 911 call. Her representative confirmed her death in a statement but did not detail the cause. The Greenville Police Department, in collaboration with the Greenville County Coroner's Office, is investigating the case.
So far, the preliminary investigation has revealed no signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances. Panettiere began her career as an infant, appearing in children's TV commercials from the age of 11 months. Nearly a decade later, in 1998, she voiced a role in Pixar's "A Bug's Life.
She later joined the cast of "Remember the Titans" alongside Denzel Washington. In 2006, her popularity soared with her roles as Claire Bennet in "Heroes" and Juliette Barnes in "Nashville. For the latter role, she was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress twice, in 2013 and 2014. In recent years, she joined the fourth and sixth installments of the popular slasher saga Scream.
