🇩🇪 GermanyEmergency Crews Rescued an Injured Sheep From the Forest After a Wildfire Near Waldaschaff, Germany, the District Fire Inspection Reported.
The animal had been separated from its herd during the blaze. The fire had approached a pasture where the sheep were standing. To protect the animals, crews opened the fence and brought the herd to safety, during which the sheep fled into the woods.
Firefighters caught the animal during mop-up operations and transported it out of the forest. The fire has been extinguished, and the area continues to be monitored. During the operation, seven firefighters sustained minor injuries, according to the district fire inspection.
Crews also treated an injured female passerby. The cause of the fire was not reported. The sheep was brought to safety following the incident near Waldaschaff in Bavaria.
