🇳🇴 NorwayOvernight Rain and Favorable Winds Helped Firefighters Battle a Large Wildfire in Eastern Belgium, Near the German Border, Authorities Said.

The blaze, described as the largest of its kind in the country in recent times, has ravaged large parts of a nature reserve. Belgian authorities said international assistance is still needed to extinguish the flames. Firefighting help from Norway and Germany is expected to arrive during the day.
Because the fire is in an area with bogs and heathland, it has been difficult for regular fire engines to access the site. Belgian fire chief Marc Gilbert told Belgian media that the country lacks resources to handle larger fires.
