Ali Tahir Hill and Beaufort Castle, While Hezbollah Is Planning Attacks on Israeli Units Involved in the Occupation of the Area

The report claimed that some Hezbollah members are trapped in tunnels on Ali Tahir Hill and that the Israeli army has been blocking attempts to rescue them. It also noted that the Tel Aviv government has recently declined to approve some military operations due to ongoing US-mediated negotiations with Lebanon, but that the army is nonetheless preparing for clashes expected to last several days. The Israeli military launched intense airstrikes on Lebanon on March 2 and occupied several towns in the country's south.
The Lebanese government has said the number of displaced people has exceeded 1 million. A ceasefire between Lebanon and Israel took effect on April 17 and was extended several times. Despite the truce, Israel carried out pre-dawn airstrikes on Lebanon on August 15. Lebanon's Health Ministry reported that 4,346 people have been killed in Israeli attacks since March 2.
