Thirteen years after their debut collaboration "For Those in Peril, director Paul Wright reunites with actor George MacKay for "Mission, a similarly intense and solemn portrait of mental illness anchored by an all-in performance from MacKay. The 2013 film "For Those in Peril" was an atmospheric study of youthful alienation, trauma and psychological collapse in small-town Scotland that sealed both men's place on the U.K. industry's "ones to watch" list. Since then, MacKay's career has gone from strength to strength, while Wright has continued to develop his craft as a filmmaker. "Mission" marks a return to the dark, fevered territory the pair explored in their first outing, with MacKay delivering a committed central performance.
