Viewers on Digital Platforms Need No Action for Türksat Transition in Türkiye

Viewers watching CNN TÜRK and Kanal D through digital platforms do not need to take any action. However, those following broadcasts via satellite will see televisions and satellite receivers compatible with the Türksat Channel Update System (TKGS) update automatically. On older devices, a single manual channel scan after the transition is sufficient.

For manual setup, users should configure their device settings menu with the following parameters: satellite Türksat 4A, reception frequency 12034 MHz, vertical polarization, symbol rate 27500, modulation DVB-S2 8PSK, and FEC value 3/4. Speaking on the matter, D-Smart Deputy General Manager İsmail Yıldırım said: We are entering a very important turning point in Turkey's broadcasting history. Viewers using TKGS will not need to take any action. The new satellites will provide fewer broadcast interruptions, higher image quality, and more 4K and Ultra HD broadcast capability. Turkish television broadcasts will be able to reach more countries around the world.
