Turkish Police Seize Shredded Documents in Raid Linked to Alihan Kuris Investigation in Türkiye

Turkish police seized documents that were being shredded in an attempt to destroy evidence during a raid linked to the investigation into the Alihan Kuris criminal organization, authorities said. The operation was launched after authorities received a tip that documents connected to the organization and the investigation were being destroyed at an address in Istanbul's Umraniye district. A search warrant was issued following the tip.

Officers from the Istanbul Provincial Police Department carried out the raid at the location. During the search, police confirmed the tip was accurate and confiscated numerous documents that had been torn up in an apparent attempt to destroy them. The seized documents have been placed under police custody for examination, and the investigation is continuing on multiple fronts, according to officials. The investigation into the Alihan Kuris criminal organization is being led by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office.
