🇫🇷 FranceNew MRI Technique Promises Simpler, More Precise Heart Attack Analysis in France

A research team has developed an advanced cardiac MRI technique that could make the imaging tool more comfortable for patients and easier for radiologists and cardiologists to use.
Cardiac MRI is an essential imaging tool for managing acute myocardial infarction, but it is not always comfortable for patients and its use is complex for radiologists and cardiologists. A research team has now developed an advanced technique to enable, in the future, a more precise and simplified analysis. Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death worldwide.
According to the World Health Organization, 19.8 million people died from them in 2022, representing about 32% of all deaths globally. Among these deaths, 85% were caused by myocardial infarction or stroke. In France, all cardiovascular diseases (myocardial infarction, stroke, pulmonary embolism, etc.) represent the leading cause of mortality among women, accounting for 73,000 deaths per year. This underscores the role of MRI in patient diagnosis.
