🇹🇷 TürkiyeTBMM Updates Seat Distribution After Party Changes in Türkiye

The Turkish Grand National Assembly's website has updated its '28th Term Deputy Seat Distribution' section, reflecting recent changes in party affiliations.
The update follows a series of deputy transfers and resignations. New Path Party had fallen to 19 lawmakers after Izmir deputy Mustafa Bilici resigned, dropping below the 20-seat threshold required to form a parliamentary group. However, with Kütahya deputy Ali Fazıl Kasap joining from the CHP, the party reached 20 lawmakers again and regained group-forming qualification. Meanwhile, Gaziantep deputy Mehmet Mustafa Gürban and Aydın deputy Ömer Karakaş resigned from the Good Party (İYİ Parti), reducing that party's seat count to 27. The CHP's seat count also fell to 44, while the number of independent lawmakers rose to 13. According to the updated seat distribution, the party standings in the TBMM are as follows: AK Party: 277.
