Bradley Beal Will Return to the Los Angeles Clippers on a Two-year, $13.2 Million Deal, His Representative, Mark Bartelstein of Priority

The contract includes a player option for the 2027-28 season. Beal initially declined his $5.6 million player option with the Clippers for the 2026-27 season. He explored options with other teams, while Los Angeles utilized the roster flexibility to acquire other players during the offseason.

The Clippers signed former Los Angeles Lakers forward Rui Hachimura to a two-year, $28 million contract in early July. Beal ultimately re-signed with the Clippers but reportedly received interest from the Miami Heat. After signing with the Clippers in free agency last summer, Beal suffered a fractured hip that required him to undergo season-ending surgery after just six games with his new team.

He started in all six of those games, averaging 8.2 points, 0.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists across 20.2 minutes. Before joining the Clippers, he played two seasons with the Phoenix Suns. The Suns agreed to a contract buyout with Beal in July 2025, which allowed him to sign with the Clippers.

Beal spent the first 11 seasons of his NBA career with the Washington Wizards after the franchise drafted him with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft. Beal is a three-time NBA All-Star, with his most recent selection coming in 2021. All three All-Star selections happened while he played for the Wizards. Now entering his 15th season in the NBA, Beal holds career averages of 21.4 points, 4.3 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game. However, he has not averaged 20 or more points since the 2022-23 season with Washington.
