Drone Crashes in Romania's Tulcea County Near Ukraine Border; No Casualties Reported

The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) issued a warning lasting approximately 90 minutes for the northern part of Tulcea County. The Romanian Ministry of National Defense said it was alerted via an emergency call about the crash near the village of Lunca Vica, roughly 5 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. The drone came down in a forested area, and no casualties or property damage have been reported.

Based on the information currently available, the aerial target was not detected by the Ministry of National Defense's radar surveillance systems because it was flying at a very low altitude, the ministry said in a statement. A ministry team was dispatched to inspect the crash site with support from an IAR PUMA 330 SOCAT helicopter, and an investigation is underway. Authorities said they will provide additional information as the situation develops.
