Writers Land on Cervia Beach for 34Th Summer Book Festival on Ferragosto

The 'Landing of the Authors' is set for 6:15 p.m., when guests arrive by sea under Torre San Michele-Piazzale Salinari aboard traditional Cervese fishing boats — Caporale Leone, Maria, Tre Fratelli, Mario Lanza and Delfino — in collaboration with the Circolo Nautico, Cooperativa Bagnini, Scuola Vela dei bambini and Capitaneria di Porto, coordinated with the municipality. The event continues with the traditional show at the Magazzini del Sale, on a stage set up on the beach. Featured authors include Marino Bartoletti presenting 'Caro Lucio ti scrivo' (Gallucci), Maurizio Mannoni with 'Quella notte a Saxa Rubra' (La nave di Teseo), Enrico Franceschini presenting 'Arrivederci Londra' (Baldini+Castoldi), Francesca Costenaro with 'Lettere anonime per cuori smarriti' (Piemme) and Nevada presenting 'Ti aspetto sempre'.

Special guests Simona Ventura and Giovanni Terzi join in collaboration with VenturAcademy. Journalists Ilaria Bedeschi and Beppe Boni host the talk show. The event is described as Italy's longest-running summer festival dedicated to books.
