🇩🇪 GermanyA 21-Year-old Trainee Court Clerk Is in Custody in Germany, Suspected of Committing Three Armed Robberies in the Town of Dinslaken on Monday

Police arrested him a day later, and a judge ordered his pretrial detention. Justice Minister Benjamin Limbach (Greens) confidentially informed the state parliament's legal affairs committee about the case. According to the dpa news agency, Limbach's letter stated that a 21-year-old trainee judicial secretary had been arrested on suspicion of multiple robbery offenses.
The Duisburg public prosecutor's office confirmed on Friday that the case referred to by Limbach is the same 21-year-old whose arrest caused a stir this week. On Tuesday, police with a special operations unit (SEK) initially detained two men suspected of committing the three robberies — targeting a beverage market, a bakery, and a gas station — while armed with a firearm. One of the two was released, while the 21-year-old was remanded in custody.
According to dpa, the young man was employed at a court and was close to completing his training. He is reportedly a probationary civil servant.
