🇲🇱 MaliMali School Hosts Tree-planting Ceremony for National Reforestation Campaign

The Lycée Ibrahima Ly in Banankabougou hosted a tree-planting activity on Thursday as part of the 32nd edition of the national reforestation campaign.
The ceremony at the Lycée Ibrahima Ly was co-chaired by Education Minister Amadou Sy Savane and Environment Minister Doumbia Mariam Tangara, with representatives from UNESCO, the Water and Forests services, local authorities, and school partners in attendance. After the raising of the colors and the national anthem, several trees were planted by the ministers and participants. The theme was "Youth at the heart of environmental citizenship, with the slogan "One tree for each person, one Mali for all.
Minister Amadou Sy Savane reaffirmed his department's commitment to supporting initiatives against deforestation and for environmental protection. The event aimed to engage students in environmental stewardship and highlight the role of education in fostering sustainable practices across the country.
