Three people have inhaled smoke after a house fire in Sandefjord, Norway. The fire is now under control. The fire broke out Thursday evening in a detached house in a residential area east of Sandefjord city center.
Fire crews gained control of the blaze shortly after midnight. "They have inhaled some smoke and are being monitored by ambulance personnel, operations leader Ståle Olstad Fuglaas told VG. Fuglaas reported there was no danger of the fire spreading.
The fire service was alerted to the fire at 11:25 p.m. Thursday. Crews from both Sandefjord and Larvik were routinely dispatched, said Glenn Espen Kustner, duty leader at the district's 110 emergency center. "We have plenty of resources on site to handle the fire, he said. He also noted that weather conditions are favorable, with light winds.
