The Driver Was Taken Into Custody Following the Incident in Türkiye

A 14-year-old girl was killed and another teenager was seriously injured after a car struck them in Karesi, Balıkesir, Turkey, on Monday. The driver was taken into custody following the incident. The accident occurred on Bandırma Caddesi near the Sanayi 1st Gate when a car driven by A.O. hit two 14-year-old girls, Bilge K. and Serra U., as they were attempting to cross the road.

Serra U. was dragged by the impact and died at the scene, while Bilge K. was seriously injured. Emergency services and police were dispatched to the location after nearby residents reported the crash. Bilge K. was transported to Balıkesir Atatürk City Hospital, where she is reported to be in life-threatening condition.
