A motorcyclist who fled police in Turkey's northwestern Bursa province after ignoring a stop order has been fined a total of 450,000 lira.
The driver, identified only as Ö.Ç., was caught after a 5-kilometer chase in the İnegöl district. During the pursuit, traffic police had signaled the rider to stop, but he continued fleeing. After his arrest, officers found he had a blood alcohol level of 1.07 promille, well above the legal limit.
It also emerged that his driver's license had previously been confiscated for the same violation. The fine was imposed for multiple offenses, including disobeying a traffic stop and driving under the influence.
